In this video, we’ll look at the home buyer portal in FlexMLS. Your home buyer portal is a personalized client facing website. First, we’ll take a look at what your contacts can do in the portal. Then we’ll show you how to invite a contact to the portal and how to view your contacts portal activity. When your client logs into the portal, the saved tab allows them to see searches you’ve saved for them. Listings they’ve marked as favorites and listings marked as hidden, which removes them from their search results. They can also go to their news feed, which is a list of all the listings they’ve received from any subscriptions you’ve created for them. They can also run their own searches and save listings they find to their saved collection.

From any listing, they can also contact you if they have any questions.

Now that we’ve seen what the portal offers your contacts, let’s take a look at how to invite a contact to use the portal. Go to contact management and add a new contact or select an existing contact, then click on their portal tab. Make sure the portal is on and scroll down and click invite to portal. You can customize the default portal invite. And when you’re ready, click send.

Your contact will receive an email inviting them to the portal. They can open the email and click the link to get access. Their username is their email address, and they will set their own password. Once they start using the portal, you can track the listings that they view in contact management under contact activity. Contact activity aggregates all of the listings the contact is viewing, whether they have viewed them in the portal, from a subscription update email, or if you’ve manually emailed them specific listings. Click on their portal tab, and you can see the listings that they’ve marked as saved. Listings that they’ve removed from search results can be seen under the hidden folder. You can also see the most recent searches that they’ve run, giving you an idea of what else they may be interested in. This concludes your introduction to the client portal. Thank you.
